Home!!

So we finally made it home!! In the nick of time let me tell ya!! We came home Friday and on Saturday we had the weirdest freezing rain storm I have ever seen. Well never have seen one in my life. This whole place turned into a huge ice skating rink. Then to add to it we woke up Sunday morning to about 2 inches of snow and it snowed the whole day. We had a good 8-10 inches and the people here don't know what to do with that much snow. This is a very rare occasion that this happens. They say it happens every 8 to 10 years but it has really only been 4 since the last big storm. They aren't epuipped with snow removal equipment and so now it is just a slushy mess. SO crazy!! The house is coming along great and we are getting excited. I will have to update pictures soon. Ryley is growing like a little weed and getting pretty darn funny. She loves to sing her ABC's the best she can and is doing very well for a 19 month old. WE are all fighting the lovely cold season again. Ryley has been sick since last wednesday and has a yucky cough and Clay and I just have those dang colds that we can't kick but all is well. Sorry it has been so long. I will be back later with more fun stuff.

Oh Idaho!!

What a wonderful past two weeks it has been. Christmas and family and the new year and way too much food. It is so fun to be back in Idaho and to be home for awhile. We have definatly been enjoying our time here. We got to talk to my brother and Clay's brother who are on their missions on Christmas and it was amazing to hear there voices and to see how much they have grown and how strong their testimonies of the gospel are getting. What wonderful examples they are to me and I am so proud to have them as part of my family. Christmas was wonderful. We all got so spoiled, especially Ryley!! I had to open most of her presents because she was more interested in the candy and her little ride on toy Santa brought her. She was pretty darn cute. Clay surprised me with a KitchenAide mixer and boy was I so happy. I have wanted one for a really long time. It will definatly get put to good use. Now I can make him rolls without complaining that my arms hurt!! (They really didn't but it was a good excuse!!) j/k It will be really fun to have. Our house is coming along great. My sweet friend Tiffany has been keeping us updated by taking pictures and sending them. Thanks so much Tiff!! You are the best!! We actually have a house. It is so fun to see. I only wish we could be there to see it all going up but by the time we get home it will be completely up and they will be working on the interior. YEAH!! Then we will have a little over a month and we will be in it!! Finally a place to call Home and My OWN!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. ...and we made it through nursery! Well kind of!!

So nursery went a little bit better than I expected. So I have to explain a little bit about our nursery. When we moved into the ward it was huge. Ok so huge is an understatement. Gargantuon!!(spelling) Over 55 kids in nursery. So 2 weeks ago they split our ward but the nursery is still huge. There are 35 kids now so they put the kids into groups and split the gym into stations and rotate every 15 minutes. SO we go in and get Ryley's name tag (which goes on their backs so they can't take them off) and went to our first station. I figured I would stay for a little while till she got distracted and then I would leave. Our first station was singing so we got singing and I tried to leave but Ryley noticed before I could even get out of the station so I went back in for awhile and then I left. Well before I could get out the gym door I heard her crying but a mom in the hall assured me that she would be fine and all would be well. If it got too bad they would come and find me. So nervous me couldn't even listen to the lesson because I was so paraniod the whole time that she was just crying and not doing good. Well I should have not worried cause she was just fine. We made it through Sunday School and I was so excited to get to listen to the Relief Society lesson and then what do you know. One of the nursey ladies came and said"Ryley is wet. I don't know if she just spilled her water at snack time or if she leaked through her diaper. " So off I go to save the day. She just had spilt her water and she must have sat in it cause she was soaking wet. But what was I supposed to do. I didn't have a change of clothes so we made it through the last 45 minutes. Well once I was in there she wouldn't let me leave so I spent the rest of church in the nursery. But all in all she did awesome. Can't wait till this Sunday when she has some familiar faces(Bryson, Haylee, Abby) to play with. So I guess that is our nursery story . Oh and the pictures are before our first day in nursery. She wouldn't pose very well so we got her doing her normal thing in the morning. Eating cereal and drinking milk!!!

HELLO NURSERY!!!!

It is a very happy day in the Allen home today!! We are celebrating Ryley's big 18 month birthday and rejoycing because that means she finally gets to go to nursery unattened by me the mom!! Well we will just see how that goes cause she is still a mommy's girl and thinks she needs me. But what a happy day!! She is really getting to be too big though. She is really talking up a storm and is keeping us quite entertained to say the least. I am so excited for Christmas it should be a blast this year! I love you RYLEY!!
