BBQ & Ice Hockey

We had such a blast this weekend!! Friday night we spent the night just hanging out as a family and we watched The Ultimate Gift. Well lets just say I watched Clay sleep and Ryley run around the house and I watched the movie!! Clay tried but if you know Clay he doesn't make it through many movies. Needless to say it is my new favorite movie and it is such a feel good movie. I actually watched it the other night with my girls and then just had to watch it again. If you haven't seen it I totally recommend it!!! Saturday afternoon all of our friends and us got together for an awesome BBQ at the best park in Kennewick. It is such a fun park and very beautiful. The kids had a blast and it was so fun to watch them all play so good together. It was fun to just sit and chat and enjoy the wonderful weather. Then to top off the night Clay and I were invited by some friends in our old ward to go to an ice hockey game. It was SOOOOO much fun!! I told Clay after the first 2 minutes that I was all for season tickets for next year!! Haha I know it won't happen but it was something I would totally do again in a heart beat. It is just fun to watch all the excitement and I couldn't wait for the players to fight!! Not a lot of fighting happened but it was still fun! We always have so much fun and I am so thankful for such great friends that we have here. I can't wait for this summer, it is going to be WAY TOO MUCH FUN!!!

I love being a Mom!

I know it has been so long since I have put anything on here but it has been a crazy couple of weeks and can I just say I am so grateful for good friends and family. But I just have been thinking lately about how much I love being a mom and how much joy it brings to my life. Everyday is a new adventure and Ryley definitely keeps me wanting more. She is just getting so cute and has something to say about everything and totally knows what she is talking about (even if we don't!) I just want to know what is going on inside her little mind all the time.
The other night I left to go somewhere so I left her with Clay and I came home and they were laying in bed and I crawled up next to her and she looked at me and said "Mommy, I watched Cinderella with Daddy!" How stinkin cute is that!! She has never talked to me like that before. She loves her daddy and that makes me happy. The best part of my day is when Clay comes home and she goes running yelling Daddy! It is the best feeling.
I love to cuddle and love Ryley. I love that she loves me to love her and that she knows I love her. I love that she wants to learn and become more like Clay and I. Her new thing is saying the prayer. This morning I was doing her hair for church and she folded her arms and said "Heavenly Father, Thank you for this day. " Then some things I didn't understand but how sweet is it that a child so small knows so much.
I love to see Ryley with family. She especially loves Cameron and Keisha. It is so fun to watch them interact and play and see her excitement when we see them. I love to listen to her sing. She sings all the time and can sing pretty on tune for the songs she somewhat knows. Being a mom is wonderful and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love you Ry Ry!!

Rockin Steady

Well not a whole lot has been happening around here just hanging out and waiting for nice weather which today is actually beautiful and this weekend is supposed to get into the 70's so hopefully it will continue to be nice so that we can make a trip to the park. Ryley and I have about had it with being stuck inside. Last week Clay worked really hard in the yard to get all the rocks out. He did an amazing job and our yard actually looks like it has dirt in steads of a rock pile. I guess you could say we built our house on a rock!!!! No sand in this neighborhood!! haha So now we are looking forward to either planting grass or laying sod, one of the two. At this point all I really want is somewhere for Ryley and Roxy to play and be safe instead of being on the front lawn with all the cars. So it is coming along!!! I have some cute pictures of Clay and Ryley working in the yard but Clay has the camera today so I will have to post them later. Ryley loved helping Clay!! She came in every time with dirt from her head to toes. Needless to say she got two baths a day!!! It was fun to see her helping and wanting to be with Clay!! She is just growing up and getting so darn cute!! And she has quite the little attitude to go along with it all!! Not my favorite but I am coping! Well that is about all for now but I will get the pictures posted as soon as I can!!

Raft River Memories

Well as most of you know we used to live in Raft River and last week we went down to Idaho to help Clay's Dad with his farm sale. It is very bittersweet and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I never thought I would ever care about Raft River in fact I didn't like it at first but living out there and starting our family really made it a special place for me. Here are just a few pictures while we were down there. The picture of the house is the one we lived in for two years while we were there. It is the house we brought Ryley home from the hospital to. Then the pictures of just land is our view from our backyard. You kind of need to be there to get the real perspective but it shows you kind of what we saw. Then there is one of all the grandkids and Clay's Dad at the sale. I love you Tony and Cindy!!! Thanks for raising such a wonderful and hardworking son!! You're the best!!
